Doing good
Better

How can we most effectively make the world better? We’re a community of curious students figuring it out together.

01 / THE IDEAS

How we think

Effective altruism is the project of trying to find the best ways of helping others, and putting them into practice.

02 / THE COMMUNITY

How we do it

Most people don’t examine their morals. A vague idea of what you believe in means your ambition and effort get captured by empty incentives: people start playing the status game, or the money game, when they could have found their meaning and worked towards it.

HOW CONVERSATION
BECOMES CHANGE
01

Question your assumptions

Make your ethical beliefs explicit. What do you care about, and why?

02

Build a clearer picture

Compare perspectives and evidence. Look for where your effort could help most.

03

Act on what you learn

Bring those insights into your studies, your career, and the choices you make.

03 / GET INVOLVED

You can start
with a conversation.

The conversation
starts on Discord.

Meet other students, hear what’s happening, and ask your first question. Come as you are.

Join the Discord

A one-on-one.
